I Love Books! Book Reviews and Current Recommendations
Reading is my all time favorite thing to do. I don't mean what's on the Bestseller Lists or Book Club because "they" say to read it. Which I will do sometimes, but I mean I want to read what makes me feel like I'm right there and can't put it down. I love historical romance and make no excuses for reading them. Political thrillers and good old mysteries are favorites also. Most books, I am always reading on my kindle, which goes everywhere with me.
I have been reading a great author Maureen Driscoll. She writes historical romance in the 1800's with Dukes and Earls, always with strong women by their sides. I'm really getting into her "Always Come Home (Emerson Book 1)". There are 5 more books in this series. I just started the 6th book and I am not disappointed. Each one is as good as the last. "Never a Mistress, No Longer A Maid (Kellington Book 1)", was the first book of her's I started first and loved. She has six in this series also. They are all related and best friends to Emersons'. Best of all, they are free on Kindle Unlimited! All of the books in the series are currently free, except the last one in the series: "Never & Always (Emerson Book 6)".
I love books that continue on into another with the characters you feel you know. Each book can stand alone but I cannot put them down. I don't shy away from stories with a lot of explicit love (sex) chapters as to me that is life and what we all deserve. Each story has a twist and lets you know what's like to live at the time. She writes so you believe you are there, along with history. Indulge in her stories and make no excuses for loving them!
Always Come Home (Emerson Book 1)
From the author of the Kellington series of Regency romances, comes the first novel about the Emerson family. Colin Emerson, the Earl of Ridgeway, has two unmarried sisters and a mountain of debt incurred by his late father. He has no choice but to marry an heiress. It is most unfortunate, therefore, when he falls in love with a penniless governess. Ava Conway has been making her way in the world since the death of her father. She takes a position as the governess to Lord Ridgeway's sisters, but finds her growing attachment to the earl threatens his family's future. Bound by honor, torn by love, can Colin do right by his sisters while following his heart? WARNING: This book contains explicit sexual content and adult situations. You will not like this book if you don't like either of those two things. Or, better yet, read about it and maybe you'll like it!

ADVISORY FROM THE AUTHOR: This book contains mature content, including explicit language of graphic sexual situations. From Timeless Belle: Or, better yet, read about it and maybe you'll like it!
